We are currently seeking Environmental Clean Up Specialists to support environmental remediation and hazardous material cleanup projects throughout the Southeast. This position involves travel to various job sites across Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida
, assisting with environmental cleanup, site remediation, and hazardous waste handling.
The Environmental Clean Up Specialist is responsible for assisting with environmental remediation, hazardous material handling, and site cleanup activities while maintaining strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in hazardous environments and must possess an active or recently active 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
.
This role requires the ability to travel regularly and work in varying environmental conditions, supporting multiple projects across the region.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform environmental cleanup and remediation activities at industrial, construction, and environmental project sites
Safely handle, contain, and remove hazardous and non-hazardous materials
Assist with soil remediation, spill response, and waste collection activities
Operate basic cleanup and environmental remediation equipment and tools
Follow site-specific health, safety, and environmental procedures
Properly package, label, and transport hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Support decontamination procedures for personnel, equipment, and work zones
Conduct general labor tasks related to site restoration and environmental compliance
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to cleanup activities
Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all OSHA and site safety requirements
Active or recently active 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification (required)
High School Diploma or GED
Ability and willingness to travel frequently to job sites across Mississippi, Georgia, and Florida
Ability to work in outdoor environments and potentially hazardous conditions
Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Experience working in environmental remediation, hazardous waste cleanup, or industrial site cleanup
Experience with spill response or environmental restoration projects
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Experience operating environmental cleanup or light construction equipment
Confined space or other safety training certifications
Outdoor and industrial work environments
Exposure to varying weather conditions
Potential exposure to hazardous materials while utilizing appropriate PPE
Frequent travel to project sites throughout the Southeast region
