Shift Lead – Walgreens

Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr.

• Opens and closes the store independently in the absence of store management, including system start‑ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stockroom are ready for the business day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe and provides change as requested.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving issues and answering questions.
• Manages keyholder duties, assists with vendor deliveries and backs up the order process.
• Registers all sales, processes scanning errors, price verifications, voids, and maintains accurate inventory counts.
• Supports pricing, promotions, displays and seasonal merchandise, ensuring accurate signage.
• Handles bookkeeping tasks such as cash reports, ledgers and bill payment as requested.
• Maintains store appearance, clean and orderly conditions, and coordinates repairs.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Performs bag checks before leaving the store and reports disciplinary issues.
• Collaborates with administration to complete special assignments and other tasks.

• Serves as a liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating assigned tasks when store management is absent.
• Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

• Attends training and completes required PPLs requested by Manager.

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)

• Knowledge of store inventory control.

• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
