About the Role:
You’ll be on the front lines of urgent care, assisting with emergency cases, surgical procedures, diagnostics, and critical care for cats and dogs. Whether it's late-night trauma or routine follow-ups, your compassion, technical skill, and calm under pressure will make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Emergency patient triage and stabilization
Assist veterinarians in surgery, diagnostics, and urgent treatments
Monitor anesthesia and perform post-op care
Administer IV fluids, medications, and pain management
Perform lab work, radiographs, and basic dental cleanings
Communicate with pet parents clearly and compassionately
Maintain accurate patient records and uphold hospital protocols
Mentor Veterinary Assistant Trainees & Volunteers
What We're Looking For:
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) or eligible in Georgia
2+ years of experience (emergency or fast-paced clinical setting preferred)
Proficiency in animal restraint, venipuncture, surgical prep, and anesthesia
Ability to stay calm and focused in emergency situations
Team player with excellent communication and multitasking skills
