Nursing Admin Supervisor, PRN, Nights

Overview

Piedmont Macon is a 310‑bed acute‑care community hospital that has served the Macon community for over 50 years. The medical center offers 24‑hour emergency care and all major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.

• Promote and maintain quality patient care that promotes safety and well‑being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate patient flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers.
• Monitor bed availability and implement surge capacity measures as needed.
• Supervise the nursing staff and coordinate staffing on a shift‑to‑shift basis.
• Serve as the designated on‑site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
• Assess all requests for administrator‑on‑call contact during your shift.
• Oversee all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors.
• Work under the direction of the Administrator on‑call to determine activation of the disaster plan and coordinate related activities.
• Round and maintain open communication with all staff.
• Provide sound knowledge of nursing practice and demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities.

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program – Required
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred

Work Experience

• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting – Required
• Demonstrated clinical competency – Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure – Required
• BCLS – Basic Life Support – Required
• ACLS – Preferred
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support – Preferred
• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation – Preferred
