RN - LTAC

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. This role is crucial in promoting patient and employee safety, following all hospital guidelines while ensuring effective nursing practices.

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patients' diagnoses, collaborating with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and direct patient care, focusing on education.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and patient teaching in anticipation of discharge.
• Effectively communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital and nursing policies.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Identify and pursue professional growth through ongoing education and self-study.
• Assume charge responsibilities following orientation as requested.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH Only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
