This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift - 3x12.0

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. This role includes supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees to provide a safe environment for both patients and staff.

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient and family teaching needs based on health assessments.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation of patient care in medical records.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and prioritize education for patients and families.
• Initiate patient discharge planning from the day of admission and ensure effective communication between care providers.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks as appropriate.
• Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and reporting hazards.
• Contribute positively to the unit's culture through team building and effective communication.
• Manage supplies and equipment efficiently while maintaining quality patient outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain competency in nursing practices.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.
