Are you mechanically inclined, detail‑oriented, and energized by building things that truly matter? As an Assembly Technician II, you’ll play a key role in assembling, calibrating, and testing high‑performance industrial valves, regulators, and instrumentation used across a wide range of industries. This position offers the perfect blend of technical work, troubleshooting, collaboration, and continuous learning—all within a supportive team environment.
🔧 What You’ll Do- Selecting and pulling accurate components for production orders
- Building and assembling valves, actuators, and regulators to company and customer specifications
- Installing and calibrating instrumentation for optimal performance
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues and repairing assemblies with precision
Operating forklifts, hoists, and material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently - Documenting work clearly and accurately, including order and calibration records
- Keeping your work area safe, organized, and compliant with all safety procedures
- Mentoring and training Apprentice and Technician I team members as needed
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and hands‑on experience in assembly or industrial environments
- Familiarity with control valves, actuators, pressure regulators, or instrumentation (preferred)
- Experience or training in:
- Valve basics
- Calibration techniques
- Hydrostatic and seat leak testing
- Pneumatic and electric actuator equipment
- Boiler operation
- Clear and professional communication skills, including via email
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
- Ability to lift and/or move up to approximately 20 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours during a shift
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time in a shop or warehouse environment
- Use hands and fingers to handle, assemble, and manipulate parts, tools, and instrumentation components
- Reach with hands and arms; bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch as necessary
- Operate hand tools and shop equipment, including hoists and forklifts, in accordance with safety procedures
- Communicate effectively and maintain adequate vision and hearing to perform assembly work safely and accurately
- The work environment may include exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations typical of an industrial or manufacturing setting.
