Job Description

Mold Room Technician| Hiring Immediately | Macon, Georgia

Compensation:

* Competitive starting pay range of $23.882-$29.84 per hour, paid weekly

Available

Shift:

* 1st Shift

* 12-hour

* 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

* 5-2-2-5

Job purpose

The Level#2
- Mold Machine Maintenance role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair and service of mold tooling for facility molding equipment.

Duties and responsibilities

The primary job duties and responsibilities are:

* Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

* Responds promptly to safety hazards and machine breakdowns.

* Understands and interprets blueprints required for work.

* Performs change overs to the molding equipment as scheduled.

* Performs routine service and mechanical repair on mold tooling.

* Maintain an inventory of spares to support production demand.

* Completes documentation related to the task at hand.

* Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.

* Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.

* Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.

* Maintains excellent safety record.

* Maintains excellent attendance record.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities

* Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.

* At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment

* Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.

* Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS);
Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

Skills

An individual must have the following skills in the Level#2
- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

* Interpersonal skills.

* Basic computer knowledge.

* Effective communication skills.

* Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include but are not limited to:

* Standing for lengthy periods of time (frequent)

* Sitting for extended periods of time (frequent)

* Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)

* Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

Working conditions

An individual that works in the Level#2
- Mold Machine Maintenance position:

* Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

* Must have mechanical aptitude.

* Must be able to stand and/kneel frequently, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and work in a manufacturing environment.

* Must be available on an on-call basis.

Education

* High School Diploma or GED

* Technical certification in a related field preferred
