Forklift Operator

We are searching for an experienced Forklift Operator at our Macon facility.

• Forklift Operator – Stand‑Up
• Shift: C and D Shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 6 am–6 pm or 6 pm–6 am)
• Work hours:
  
  12‑hour shift, move around the area at a fast pace, and be able to bend, squat, lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds.
• Follow all New Cold Policies and Safety Guidelines.
• Perform tasks as needed:
• Receiver – Receives product accurately into the building using PIT.
• Put‑Away – Pulls product that has been received and places it into the racking; may palletise or split pallets.
• Replenisher – Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
• Picker – (Case picker and full pallet picker) pulls product either in single or full palletised form to take to the dock.
• Loader – Loads trucks with product efficiently to avoid product damage or loss.
• Drive stand‑up Crown PIT Forklifts and Reach Trucks; train on Cherry picker if required.
• Environment: cold storage – temperatures range from –10 °F to 30 °F; may be damp and cold for up to 12 hours.
• Provide personal protective equipment (freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, headwear). Team members must supply steel or composite‑toe boots with ANSI 75 lb or more PSI rating and slip‑resistant sole.
• Stand or walk 100 % of the time.

Safety is always first with New Cold. All team members are expected to practice safety standards, policies, and procedures. We provide all PPE upon hire and offer boot reimbursement after completing your probationary period.

• At least one (1) year of continuous work history with a single employer in the last twelve (12) months.
• One (1) year of stand‑up forklift experience required.
• Full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs.
• Able to stand for extended periods with a sense of balance.
• May be provided extra hearing protection as needed.
• Cold storage experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
