Position: PLC / Controls Technician - Night Shift

Job Title: Controls Technician

Location: Macon, GA (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $30-$35 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential. 2-2-3 Night Shift

The primary purpose of this role is to troubleshoot and maintain controls components and systems for production and associated utility equipment to insure highest reliability, proper line performance, and safe operation.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and calibrates electrical sensors including photoelectric, inductive, capacitive, magnetic, pressure, temperature, weight, and position sensors.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and commissions all electrical control devices including AC drives, DC drives, Servo Controllers, contractors, motors, breakers, solenoids power supplies and indicator lights.
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and commissions all PLC/HMI based hardware including processors, discrete and analog I/O cards, power supplies, network adapters, Distributed I/O, dedicated operator interfaces such as Panel View, PC based interfaces and message displays such as Factory Talk View .
  • Partnering with Engineering and Maintenance to improve uptime.
  • Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement and automation upgrades.
What We’re Looking For

You may be currently be working as a:

  • Controls Technician
  • PLC Technician
  • Industrial Electrician
  • Automation Technician
  • I&E Technician
  • Maintenance Electrician (with strong electrical/PLC experience)

Ideal background includes:

  • High School Diploma with Associates Degree in electronics or equivalent. Preferred 1-3 years of industrial experience.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience in manufacturing
  • Strong industrial electrical knowledge
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Experience in high-speed production environments is a plus
  • Must be committed to working the 2-2-3 night shift
    . This is a concrete requirement.
