Job SummaryMust be a Journeyman Maintenance card holder or hold an AAS Degree in Electronics, or have 5 years of Tradesman Training, or have the ability to pass required Math and Mechanical Comprehension testing. Primary duties include electrical fabrication, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical circuits from 5 V to 4,160 V; installation, maintenance, and repair of electronics, PLCs, and machine controls plant‑wide; repair and maintenance of plant mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment;
use of welding and cutting equipment; knowledge of various shop equipment; work with oils and lubricants.
- Perform skilled mechanical and electrical repairs to plant equipment and systems.
- Available for overtime and callouts.
- Be able to lift 50 + pounds unassisted, climb ladders, and work at heights over 150 ft.
- Wear a respirator and all required PPE for Batch House.
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Use cutting torch and stick weld as required.
- Work in extreme heat during furnace hot repair.
- Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and troubleshoot PLCs.
- Use laptops to diagnose, change, or install new programs.
- Perform welding, brazing, cutting, and soldering to maintain plant equipment and facilities.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment, including voltage and ammeter.
- Cover vacations, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Assist with starting compressors, vacuum pumps, and related equipment after power failures.
- Maintain a clean work area using good methods and ethics.
- Work a 7‑day shift rotation (8‑hour shifts) following the schedule 7A‑3P‑3P‑11P‑11P‑7A.
