Minimum $41,171.00 annually – Maximum $68,732.00 annually
- Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)—Level 3.5 or higher, or
- Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)/National Association for the Deaf (NAD) Certification
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
Experience QualificationsTwo years of interpreting experience required.
Skills QualificationsProficiency in American Sign Language and English; ability to convey the equivalent message from sign to voice to sign; clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues; and ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools.
Primary ResponsibilitiesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods and is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may need to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and/or reach; occasionally to stoop, kneel, or crouch; and lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
