As needed. Required to work 1 Saturday per month.
Pay Range: $41.10 - $61.65
Major Responsibilities- Patient Assessments / Reassessments — Performs appropriate patient assessments resulting in an effective treatment plan. Reassesses patients at appropriate intervals to observe treatment effect and modify the plan of care as indicated. Involves the patient and/or family in the assessment process and the formation of the care plan.
- Care Planning / Interdisciplinary Communication — Provides care in accordance with physicians orders. Demonstrates appropriate case management to ensure quality of care and best patient outcome. Communicates appropriately to physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the health care team to ensure care is collaborative and appropriate.
- Patient Outcomes — Assesses and documents patient outcomes criteria at initial and discharge evaluations (e.g., all shoulder, back, incontinence, and anodyne).
- Physical Therapy Modalities / Patient Treatment — Demonstrates knowledge of physical therapy modalities/treatments and performs correctly.
- Operates Equipment Safely and Correctly — Demonstrates knowledge of and competency in using equipment pertinent to providing physical therapy services.
- Patient Education — Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning. Includes the family in teaching as appropriate.
- Documentation — Documentation meets current standards and policies, is legible, uses appropriate abbreviations, is completed in a timely manner. Medical records are closed as per policy.
- Charge Capture — Time is adequately documented in assessments and daily treatment notes. Each charge/bill reflects all services provided. Demonstrates self-growth as a professional therapist and engages in continuing education and professional growth opportunities.

Required:
Georgia license. - Education Required:
Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. - Experience
Required:
New graduates will be considered. - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
Good interpersonal and communication skills, time management, and the ability to be flexible and dependable.
- Must be able to use visual near and distance acuity; able to communicate verbally in person and by phone or radio; assist co-workers in transfers and transporting patients/residents, or equipment using proper body mechanics.
- Must have functional range of motion of the spine and extremities with a grip strength of 60-80 pounds, suitable to the job class evaluation.
- Must be able to reach, bend, squat, kneel, and move between positions rapidly; lift 25-60 lbs and carry 25-50 lbs depending on job class evaluation.
- Must tolerate high noise, busy environments and noxious odors; work in noisy environments and be self-directed to complete tasks as ordered; remain calm under stress; assess and respond to multiple situations simultaneously; prioritize tasks and organize workspace for timely completion. If job class falls under POPE C, the individual must pass the cardiac recovery test.
