Job SummaryJohn-Wesley Villas is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistant / Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and assistance to our senior residents while promoting a safe and comfortable living environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and a commitment to excellence in resident care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Administer medications according to state regulations and facility policies.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ health conditions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
- Foster a warm and engaging environment for residents.
- Ensure residents’ safety and report concerns to supervisors.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to resident care.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a high standard of care.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
- Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor towards seniors.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
