Job Summary

John-Wesley Villas is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistant / Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and assistance to our senior residents while promoting a safe and comfortable living environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and a commitment to excellence in resident care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Administer medications according to state regulations and facility policies.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents’ health conditions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
  • Foster a warm and engaging environment for residents.
  • Ensure residents’ safety and report concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties related to resident care.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure a high standard of care.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification.
  • Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor towards seniors.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
