Pharmacist – Piedmont
Office:
Piedmont Macon Medical;
Location:
Macon, GA
Day shift position working 5 8‑hour shifts and a weekend shift every 4th weekend.
Responsibilities- Perform distribution, documentation, and compounding related to drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet patients and staff needs.
- Review, compound, dispense, and monitor medication therapy for infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including dosing variations, nutritional needs, and disease states associated with age groups.
- Supervise pharmacy technician activities, monitoring all orders filled by auxiliary personnel.
- Assume responsibility for competency and self‑development in professional pharmacy practice.
- Perform patient‑focused clinical activities throughout the hospital to provide optimal medication therapy.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree – Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy with a Bachelor’s or higher in Pharmacy (Required)
Work Experience
- NA Required
- Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- Licensed as a registered pharmacist in the state of Georgia (Required)
