Overview
Medical Staff Services Credentialing Coordinator position in 10800 Enterprise Corporate - Medical Staff Services. Full time, benefits eligible, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Pay range: $19.45 - $29.20 per hour.
Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience:
Three years experience in Medical Staff Services and credentialing; proficiency in credentialing software systems.
Special Training/
Skills:
Proficient in credentialing software systems and Excel. Ability to develop strong working relationships with medical staff leaders and members, good oral and written communication skills. Understanding of DNV and CMS Medical Staff Standards for Credentialing. Must have outstanding professional, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Responsible for the daily operations of the Medical Staff Services Department regarding coordination of the processing of initial appointment and reappointment applications of 1000+ providers including physicians, advanced practice providers, and dependent practitioners.
- Coordinate all credentialing functions such as application processing and primary source verification.
- Ensure compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies in regards to credentialing applicants while utilizing a working knowledge of statutes and laws.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and policies and procedures as related to the medical staff to ensure applications are processed according to Medical Staff policy and regulatory compliance.
- Perform verification of reappointment applications by preparing requests for information, letters, tracking responses and following up on needed information.
- Obtain updated licensure, certification and insurance certificates as needed and maintain in database.
- Enter accurate and up-to-date data for each applicant into the database and respond to verification requests.
- Assist with preparation of Medical Staff Committee Agendas for the Allied Health Professional Committee, the Credentials Committee, and the Medical Executive Committee, as well as preparation of Committee minutes and reports.
- Interface with senior medical staff leaders and senior administrators, maintaining a close relationship with medical staff department chairs, chairman of the AHP Committee, Credentials Committee, and the Chief of Staff.
- Base compensation listed within the pay range based on qualifications, skills, experience, and training.
