What You Will Do
:

• Responsible for the transport of neonates and pediatric patients from referral facilities by ground.
• Duties include management of mechanical ventilation, arterial canalization, endotracheal intubation and all other procedures applicable to the field of respiratory care.
• Performs advanced practice skills as needed and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide quality age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Adheres to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
• Meets patient care standards to optimize patient outcomes.
• Promotes a safe and supportive environment during transport for all passengers in the transport vehicle, i.e., patient, crew and drivers.
• Provides respiratory therapies following age-appropriate standards of care and departmental guidelines.
• Completes documentation requirements for patient record and billing.
• Reports information to relief personnel to ensure continuity of care for the patient.
• Provides educational enhancement to allied health practitioners.
• Ensures age/developmentally appropriate patient care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
• Attends all required in-services, staff meetings, and team conferences.

What You Will Need
:

• Graduate of an AMA approved two or four year program for respiratory care, or satisfies the requirements in the admissions policies of the NBRC for registry examinations.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), licensed to practice as an RCP in the state of Georgia.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) OR Pediatric ITLS.
• CCT required.

Pay Range
: $32.45 - $48.70
