PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE (FULL TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE positions at Atrium Macon, 777 Hemlock Street HB 141, Macon, GA 31201. Online applications are accepted only.

Requirement:
Prior patient service or customer service experience is preferred. Fixed pay rate: $16.00 per hour. Perks include opportunities for growth and vacation accruals from day one.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and collaborate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and the culinary team to determine menu options for allergies, sensitivities, and patient preferences, including cultural, ethnic, and religious considerations.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays from patient rooms at scheduled times.
• Comply with regulatory standards (federal, state, JCAHO) and uphold patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down the tray line.
• Adhere to infection control policies and assist dietitians with patients on limited or monitored diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly and complete required daily/weekly/monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver/push food delivery carts.
