At First Horizon, the Managing Director – Transportation & Logistics is a client management role focused on originating revenue‑generating opportunities across the sector. The successful candidate will be a self‑starter and work collaboratively with existing team and product members across the organization. The candidate should have deep relationships with industry‑leading management teams and c‑suite level access. The candidate must be credit savvy, capable of leading deal teams, managing client relationships, and contributing to the growth of the industry line of business.

Prior transportation & logistics banking experience is required.

• Manage existing customers, cross‑sell bank products and prospect for new customers
• Consistently originate new revenue‑generating opportunities, including for new bank customers
• Expand and manage existing client relationships and develop a deeper prospect network
• Act as the industry thought leader on sector trends, developments, risks, and opportunities
• Work with underwriters to analyze credit strengths and weaknesses of prospective borrowers and make loan decision, structure and pricing recommendations that are competitive and achieve acceptable risk/return for the bank
• Lead the screening process for opportunities and lead deal execution teams
• Build and maintain a portfolio mix of targeted high‑value and high‑potential clients
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the bank's lending policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide mentoring and training to junior resources
