About

The Role

Employee will provide technical expertise and project engineering as required to support the Gearing and Reliability Solutions team. The position will be responsible for mechanical project development, design, and execution to improve our customer’s production and reliability performance, primarily focused on mechanical power transmission systems. Employee must have a desire to be part of a team focused on personal and professional growth, ambitious career plans, and determination to see them through, as well as a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead diverse teams in achieving project goals.

This position reports to the Director – GRS Technical Services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate between sales, application engineering, and the build/field services team to ensure alignment of the customer’s expectations and our teams’ execution.
  • Provide advanced engineering expertise to solve problems and implement changes.
  • Develop scope, design, construct, and install or modify existing equipment.
  • Provide field support, including project supervision, equipment design, and troubleshooting of equipment breakdowns.
  • Effectively communicate with internal customers and leadership.
  • Provide emergency response support at all days/times.
  • Be willing to travel at least 20 %.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Employee Physical and Environmental Requirements
  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; be able to sit and climb or balance.

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
  • Use various measuring tools; basic math and basic computer skills.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, or loud noises.
  • Work environment involves exposure to hazards, chemicals, or physical risk requiring basic safety precautions, including use of PPE.
