Job SummaryAssistant Professor of Art. The Department of Media, Culture, and the Arts seeks a tenure‑track faculty member to teach a 4/4 course load of 2D and 3D art courses at the Macon and Cochran campuses. Responsibilities include scholarship, service, student advisement, and campus travel between Macon, Cochran, Dublin, and Warner Robins.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, teach, and evaluate undergraduate 2D and 3D art courses, including day, evening, online, and hybrid offerings. Provide student advisement and contribute to department service. Travel between MGA campuses as required.
Required Qualifications- M.F.A. in studio art or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver undergraduate courses in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and 2D/3D design.
- Student‑centered teaching approach with a strong commitment to engagement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time‑management skills.
- Active engagement in creative practice with demonstrable experience in juried exhibitions or equivalent scholarship.
- Experience teaching online and/or hybrid coursework.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Experience in printmaking, murals, or other commercial art forms.
- Knowledge of traditional studio practices.
- Expertise in 2D and 3D design.
- Ability to contribute to multiple programs such as the painting concentration and prospective 3D art, art therapy, or art history minor concentrations.
- Letter of interest including a statement of teaching philosophy.

- Digital portfolios of personal or professional artwork and student artwork.
