Job Summary

In this student tutor position, you will assist peers in developing a deeper understanding of a foreign language and effective study practices for lower‑to‑mid level language courses. You will maintain a consistent schedule of tutoring hours in person at the Macon campus and via TEAMS, as scheduled by your professor.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a consistent schedule of availability for tutoring hours, both on‑campus and online.
  • Keep all work areas clean and organized.
  • Complete your students’ academic workload alongside the tutoring duties.
  • Be dependable, punctual, and adhere to confidentiality standards.
  • Maintain a cordial and respectful environment for all visitors.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Currently enrolled at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours.
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Position requires approval from an assigned language professor (Spanish, Korean, or French). Must be either a native speaker or in an advanced relevant language course.
  • Proficiency with computers and related software programs.
  • Commitment to FERPA confidentiality.
