Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our distinguished team at Piedmont Macon Hospital. The ideal candidate will have fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia and demonstrate clinical excellence, leadership and a commitment to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care within a collaborative and innovative clinical environment. • Provide comprehensive cardiac anesthesia services for a wide range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and other complex cardiac interventions
• Perform and interpret transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) as part of intraoperative management
• Deliver anesthesia care for both cardiac and non-cardiac surgical cases as needed
• Supervise and collaborate with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs) to ensure safe, high-quality anesthesia care
• Participate in 24/7 cardiac anesthesia coverage in coordination with the anesthesia care team
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and clinical communication
• Contribute to departmental initiatives focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Active Georgia medical license (or eligible and willing to obtain Georgia licensure)
• Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in general anesthesia (newer physicians with relevant training are encouraged to apply)
