Mercer Center for IDD Care is searching for a Dental Hygienist for the Macon, Georgia clinic. The Mercer Center for IDD Care is a welcoming space designed specifically for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for delivering preventive oral healthcare, patient education, and therapeutic dental procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist. The role supports optimal patient oral health through cleanings, assessments, and instruction in effective hygiene practices.

An Associate's Degree in Dental Hygiene, current state dental hygiene license, and current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) are required.

• Knowledge of dental instruments, infection control protocols, and sterilization methods.
• Proficiency with dental software and digital radiography systems.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability with diverse adult patients and caregivers.
• Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving in complex care scenarios.
• Ability to document detailed clinical and behavioral observations accurately.
• Commitment to patient-centered, respectful care.
