Job DetailsThe Mercer Center for IDD Care is searching for a Dental Assistant for the Macon, Georgia clinic. The Mercer Center for IDD Care is a welcoming space designed specifically for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Dental Assistant supports the dentist in clinical, administrative, and compliance-related functions to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, maintaining patient records, preparing and sterilizing instruments, and supporting front-office operations as needed. This role is essential for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring efficient dental operations.
QualificationsA High School Diploma/GED, along with one year of dental assisting experience. Candidate must have a valid CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity to handle and operate dental instruments.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
