Overview

The Criminal Calendar Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the scheduling of the Superior Court Judges criminal calendars. This position is a very detailed oriented position and will require an individual that is highly organized and dependable in managing the criminal calendars.

Responsibilities
  • Process all criminal case dispositions onto sentencing forms and distribute to various departments.
  • Enter data of all criminal dispositions and information in computer daily.
  • Enter and update all trial dates and arraignment dates in the computer and distribute copies of calendars to various departments and attorneys.
  • Set probation rules dates for all criminal divisions.
  • Schedule arraignments, motions, division criminal rules hearings dates to correspond with trial weeks for each division.
  • Prepare and mail out large volumes of notices for arraignments, trials, and rules hearing dates.
  • Enter daily into computer probation delinquent reports, bench warrants, and other orders.
  • Attend all court calendar calls for arraignment calendars, trial calendars, and rule calendars.
  • Assist in recording plea dispositions in the courtroom.
  • Performs other duties at the direction of the Chief Judge.
Qualifications

The Criminal Calendar Administrator should possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, and One (1) to Two (2) years of similar experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Necessary

Special Requirements
  • Possession of a valid Georgia Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Highly skilled in effective oral and written communication.
  • Skilled in scheduling multiple calendars.
  • Ability to work effectively with members of all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to show good judgment, consistency, timeliness, and respect in decision-making.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities at one time and consistently achieve results on a timely basis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
