We are seeking a highly organized experienced Government Contract (Gov Con) Bookkeeper in the Middle Georgia area to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) within Deltek Costpoint and a solid understanding of compliance requirements for federal contracts. The ideal candidate will be proficient in office systems and possess a solid understanding of various software applications.
Ideal candidate will have more than 3 years' experience in a similar position(s) with small in the 5-25M size range.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable within Deltek Costpoint
- Ensure accurate coding and posting of invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain organized financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Support compliance with government contract accounting requirements.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- 3 year's of bookkeeping experience in a Gov Con environment.
- Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint (required).
- Strong knowledge of AP/AR processes and GAAP principles.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Local to Macon, GA or surrounding area with flexibility to work in Hawkinsville, Georgia in the near term.
