PRIMARY FUNCTION

The press brake operator will bend, shape, and form plates to required drawings and specifications.

DUTIES

* Operate a hydraulic press brake to manufacture weldments from metal plates, forming and straightening, taper, and dish shapes to model data / drawings using cut forming templates

* Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake as required by product plans and production schedules

* Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes / hi-lo

* Measure and align materials to be used

* Inspect products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and project specifications

* Perform routine safety inspection and as needed maintenance on the press brake

* Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

* Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs

* Document actions by completing production timesheets

* Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

* High school diploma or equivalent

* At least one year of experience operating a hydraulic press brake experience forming aerospace tooling facesheets is preferred. We are willing to train those who have zero experience.

* Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate press brake controls

* Ability to follow instructions

* Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints and project plans

* Basic computer and math skills

* Ability to pass a drug test, with little or no notice, in compliance with the law

* Ability to pass a background check in compliance with the law
