Director of International Student Recruitment
Western Illinois University is looking for a Director of International Student Recruitment. This role is located in Macomb, IL and will begin appointment on March 1, 2026.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to attract, engage, and enroll international students.
- Build relationships with prospective students, families, and education partners worldwide.
- Guide applicants through the admissions process and ensure compliance with institutional and immigration policies.
- Develop and execute activities to achieve international student recruitment targets.
- Create and maintain future international target markets and ensure effective integration with the university's admissions process.
- Collaborate with key staff in the Office of Admissions, Office of Graduate Studies, and academic departments.
- Annual salary of $75,000 - $90,000. Negotiable, commensurate with experience.

- Master's degree in Education, International Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in college admissions or international recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of global education systems and visa regulations.
- Excellent communication and intercultural skills.
- Ability to travel internationally and work flexible hours.
- Multilingual.
- Degree must be conferred from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (or equivalent from an international accrediting body).
- Degree must be conferred at the time of appointment unless otherwise stated.
