This position performs professional accounting work in the Payroll Office, assisting with payroll processing and reconciliation. Duties include analyzing time cards for accuracy, preparing payroll checks and direct deposits, and researching federal and state tax laws to ensure compliance with university and regulatory requirements.

Macomb campus, Macomb, IL.

Monthly wage: $3,368 – $3,705 (anticipated starting salary $3,368).

State of Illinois benefits are administered through the Illinois Department of Central Management Services.

• Academic:
  Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field plus at least two (2) years of professional accounting experience.
• Professional:
  Current registration as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant, or a valid license to practice Public Accounting (LPA).
• Advanced:
  Master’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• Degree must be conferred by a regionally accredited institution (or equivalent international accreditor) at the time of application.
