• Job Title: Travel Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) – Days
• Location: Machias, Maine (On-site) – Downeast coastal community with easy access to outdoor recreation
• Contract Dates: 04/06/2026 – 07/06/2026
• Duration: 13‑week travel contract (option to extend based on facility needs)
• Hours: 40 hours/week
• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Shift Duration: 8‑hour shifts
• Call: Required; 45‑minute arrival time
• Setting: Critical access hospital Operating Room (OR) with PACU support
• Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

• Experience: Recent Operating Room RN experience (circulating and scrubbing required)
• Ability to support PACU Phase I recovery and post‑anesthesia care as needed
• Comfort working in a critical access hospital with a broad surgical case mix
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative services team
• Commitment to patient‑ and family‑centered care, safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality
• Preferred Certification: CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room)

• Deliver safe, effective, high‑quality perioperative nursing care across the surgical continuum
• Perform circulating RN and scrub RN duties, anticipating surgeon and team needs
• Support PACU Phase I recovery, including post‑anesthesia monitoring and patient stabilization as needed
• Maintain sterile technique, complete accurate surgical counts, and follow infection control standards
• Coordinate with anesthesia, surgeons, and perioperative staff to support efficient patient flow and optimal outcomes
• Assist with cases across multiple specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, podiatry, OB‑GYN, pain management, urology, and endoscopy
• Document care accurately and comply with facility policies, privacy standards, and professional practice guidelines
