OR Registered Nurse | Machias, Maine

A critical role is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in the Operating Room, located in the scenic town of Machias, ME. This contract position requires a dedicated perioperative professional able to function across multiple roles, including circulating, scrubbing, and Phase I recovery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

This opportunity is ideal for an RN accustomed to working in a critical access hospital setting. The surgical specialties encountered are diverse, ranging from general surgery and orthopedics to ENT, podiatry, OB-GYN, pain management, urology, and endoscopy. Experience in these areas, along with a flexible approach to perioperative nursing tasks, is essential. The position requires participation in call duties, with an expected arrival time within 45 minutes.

Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-family centered care throughout the perioperative period are paramount. Maintaining confidentiality and supporting the organizational mission are also key aspects of this role.

• CNOR certification preferred but not required
