Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / OB UnitREQUIRED- Must have Labor & Delivery experience
- Must be willing to work in Labor & Delivery and Recovery
- COVID-19 vaccination required per state mandate
The Registered Nurse independently provides holistic, individualized nursing care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the Obstetrics unit. The RN demonstrates strong clinical judgment, teaching ability, and a commitment to high-quality patient care while functioning independently within their scope of practice under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned patients
- Deliver age-appropriate care to patients in:
- Antepartum
- Intrapartum
- Postpartum
- Nursery
- Post-operative gynecological care
- Perform unit-specific and general clinical nursing skills independently
- Promote teamwork and collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital departments
- Manage and maintain unit supplies and equipment
- Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies, including:
- Patient confidentiality
- Sexual harassment
- Advance directives
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Support and uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and patient confidentiality at all times
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Minimum of one (1) year acute care RN experience
- Successful completion of general nursing and unit-specific orientation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Current BLS
- ACLS
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- STABLE Certification
