Marshall Healthcare Facility is a 64 bed skilled and long term care facility located in Machias, Maine. Our employees are loyal and dedicated, with many having worked here over 25 years. Our residents have access to restorative nursing and therapy services as needed. Through professional care planning and engaging activities, the aim is to help individuals live as independently as possible, with dignity and respect.

Wages start at $15.25 per hour.

Activities Assistant – You will assist with planning and leading activities for Residents.

• Assist with planning and organizing activities that provide opportunities for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression for Residents.
• Ensure activities program fulfills the psychological, physical, social, and spiritual needs of Residents.

• High School Graduate or equivalent certification; CNA Certification desirable
• Experience working with a geriatric population
• Current CPR Certification
• Computer Skills
• Valid Maine Driver’s License; with a clean driving record

• Ability to work independently, with flexibility, good judgment, and effectively communicate with staff, residents, and families
• Strong desire to provide care to other people
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
