* The Maintenance Technician 1 will support the Maintenance department, under direction from the Maintenance Supervisor to conduct preventative maintenance orders and test and repair malfunctioning equipment throughout the plant.
+ Test and repair malfunctioning production equipment/machinery and notifies appropriate personnel.
+ Perform PM's on Cold Heading Machines
+ Install equipment, machines, or programs to meet specifications.
+ Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine what maintenance is needed.
+ Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and precision instruments.
+ Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools.
+ Use welding skills/equipment (TIG, Stick, Torch) to fabricate and repair chutes, conveyors, hoppers, etc.
+ Demonstrate high level of mechanical aptitude and must possess the knowledge of timing of cams and gears, how to set backlash, replace bushings.
+ Understand hydraulic principles, pneumatic principles etc.
+ Maintain current knowledge and actively addresses safety and environmental issues.
+ Other duties may include janitorial, plumbing, pipe fitting, painting, security, carpentry.
+ Additional responsibilities as assigned.

* $23-$30 per hour
