Registered Nurse; RN

Job Summary
The RN coordinates and supervises nursing care on the assigned unit, ensuring appropriate staffing, timely medication administration, and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Current Illinois RN license

• Working knowledge of general nursing practices

• Supervisory experience preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

• Ability to effectively supervise and collaborate with staff

• Proficient in spoken and written English

Requirements

• Physically and mentally able to perform nursing duties

• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills

• Compassionate, professional, and resident-focused

• Knowledge of JCAHO, OBRA, IDPH, and HFS regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Assign and supervise nursing staff based on unit needs

• Administer medications, injections, and treatments per physician orders

• Conduct daily rounds and ensure Care Plan compliance

• Communicate with physicians and families regarding resident status

• Maintain accurate documentation and narcotic accountability in the EMR

• Ensure infection control, safety standards, and policy compliance

• Complete incident reports and coordinate resident transfers as needed
