Assistant Production Supervisor

Description Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising day-to-day manufacturing and assembly operations
• Support production schedules and ensure staffing aligns with operational needs
• Provide direction, training, and coaching to assembly and production employees
• Monitor productivity, workflow, and labor efficiency on the shop floor
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and equipment downtime
• Conduct shift handoffs and communicate priorities to team members
• Support onboarding and cross-training of new employees
• Enforce company policies, attendance, and workplace standards
• Escalate performance, safety, or quality concerns to the Supervisor

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment required
• Prior lead, assistant supervisor, or team lead experience preferred
• Strong understanding of production processes and workflow
• Ability to lead by example in a hands‑on environment
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills
• Basic computer skills (production tracking, email, reporting)

• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
• Mechanical aptitude or technical background
• Experience working across multiple shifts

• Ability to work on the shop floor for extended periods
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk as required in a manufacturing setting
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
