Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mazak VMC & HMC Mill Setup and Programmer to join our dynamic team in Machesney Park, IL. You will play a crucial role in setting up and programming our advanced Mazak vertical and horizontal machining centers, ensuring that we meet our production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Mazak VMC and HMC machines according to specifications.
  • Program CNC machines using Mazatrol and G-code to produce high-quality parts.
  • Conduct tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain optimal machine performance.
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process.
  • Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Oversee a team of 2-3 milling operators, keeping them on task and assisting them when issues occur.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
  • Proven experience in setting up and programming Mazak VMC and HMC machines.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, including Mazatrol and G-code.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring tools and quality control processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to meet production demands.
