Panel Welder

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Assemble, fit, and tack weld parts in accordance with engineering drawings, verbal instructions, and written work instructions.
• Perform welding in horizontal and vertical positions.
• Use weld gauges to verify proper weld size and interpret tolerances.
• Weld a variety of metals, including galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
• Read and accurately use a tape measure.
• Test and inspect products in accordance with established inspection procedures.
• Operate forklift trucks, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively.
• AWS welding certification (D1.1 or D1.3) preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the duration of the scheduled shift.

• Minimum of one year of experience as a MIG welder or currently attending classes for Welding Certification.
• Willingness to submit to and successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and a background check.
• Ability to stand, kneel, and squat for the duration of the scheduled shift.
