WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

We are seeking a Director of Finance to manage all financial aspects of the company, ensuring the organization’s financial health and guiding strategic financial planning. This position is well-suited for an individual who is strategic, analytical, ethical, self-motivated, and who is prepared to establish the systems, processes, and relationships necessary to support the ongoing growth and expansion of the business. This role will report directly to the President and be part of the executive leadership team.

  • Financial Strategy Development: The Director of Finance leads the organization’s financial strategy for lasting stability and growth, including budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance: Ensure financial statements accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Risk Management: Evaluates financial information to identify potential risks, establishing policies to protect company assets and enhance financial performance.
  • Collaboration with Executives: The Director of Finance works closely with management to align financial goals with the organization's overall objectives, providing strategic insights to support decision-making.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing all financial and accounting aspects of the company including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, monthly financial reports, payroll and managing the Customer Service Specialist. Act as a Human Resource Generalist and interface with our HR support on employment matters.

  • Implement and oversee month end financial preparation and close and ensure timely delivery of financial statements and reporting packages
  • Create annual budget with input from the Business Development Manager and President on a sales forecast.
  • Generate monthly financial analyses including Key Performance Indicators and explanation of budget variances along with Ad Hoc reports.
  • Generate, monitor, manage and communicate changes in receivables, cash flow and financial position to senior management
  • Interface with Diatom Capital providing monthly financial data to support consolidated reporting.
  • Monitor and report compliance with bank covenants
  • Lead the Finance and Accounting integration of acquired businesses (M&A)
  • Generate weekly Accounts Receivable aging report to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts and collections. Request assistance from New Business Development for collections and setting payment terms.
  • Generate weekly Accounts Payable aging report ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash controls, payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company’s value
