The Role
We are seeking a Graduate / Associate Quality Engineer to support our Quality function and wider Engineering and Production teams. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and build a long-term career in Quality and Engineering.
You will assist in ensuring products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations. The role offers exposure to testing, inspection, audits, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day testing workload, including technical measurements and signal testing
- Learn to interpret and analyse test results accurately, building technical competence over time
- Assist with checking and approving production first-offs to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and test specifications
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, including tolerances and dual-dimensioned (Imperial/Metric) information
- Complete tests in line with defined specifications and populate First Article Inspection (FAI) and test reports
- Prepare clear, accurate technical documentation in professional technical English
- Participate in internal production and process audits under supervision
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by feeding back test results and quality findings to Production and Engineering
- Assist with the creation, update, and control of work instructions and quality documentation
- Develop an understanding of quality from both a business and customer perspective
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related discipline)
- Recent graduate or up to one year of relevant industrial experience
- Internship, placement, or project experience in manufacturing, quality, or process improvement is advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of quality tools and principles (e.g. root cause analysis, 5S, SPC)
- Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
- Motivated, curious, and keen to learn in a technical environment
