We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Pilot Plant Chemist in Drug Substance Manufacturing for a full‑time permanent position. Working hours consist of 12‑hour shifts (Day 07:00–19:00 and Night 19:00–07:00) on a 3‑week rotation pattern.

We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

• Operate a modern pilot‑plant facility.
• Follow GMP batch instructions for solids and liquids charging, reaction monitoring, work‑ups, crystallisations and waste management.
• Perform GMP in‑process analysis using HPLC, KF, GC to monitor reactions.
• Learn new processes to operate safely and compliantly in the client’s facility.

• Degree, MSc, MChem or equivalent in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (with significant organic chemistry modules if not a straight chemistry degree).
• Fundamental knowledge of chemistry and analytical science.
• Previous pilot‑plant experience within a pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing facility (highly desirable).
• Engineering skills desirable.
• Experience with HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher and UPLC in a GMP environment.
• Knowledge of drug substance analysis (advantage).
• Understanding of the drug development process (desirable).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot instrumentation and analysis issues.
• Proven ability to investigate questionable/OOS results and support pilot‑plant investigations.
