Pharmaceutical Technology and Development (PT&D) is the bridge which turns brilliant science into actual medicines that help millions of people. We work across the entire value chain, designing and delivering active ingredients, formulations and devices required to support new medicines – from supplies for use in clinical trials to developing the technology to ensure drugs can be scaled up for commercial manufacture.
Our global Clinical Program Supply team is growing, and we are now looking for a Supply Planner to join our team in our Clinical organization. This role is evolving to meet the needs of the CM&S strategy and you will have a fantastic opportunity to shape & develop the role to drive maximum value for the organization.
As a Clinical Supply Planner, you will translate the programme level demand into a supply plan and execute the plan. This will be accomplished by developing and executing an optimized plan in line with the Clinical Supply Chain Strategy.
You will work closely with Clinical Supply Chain Programme Leads (CSPL) and Clinical Study Leads to match demand & supply and ultimately deliver life changing medicines to patients.
Accountabilities:- Translating demand into supply plans, which meet the inventory strategy set out by the Programme Lead (CSPL)
- Providing forecasts to our supply chain partners for each of the bill of material levels in the supply chain and representing Clinical Manufacturing & Supply in commercial S&O/E/SOOP
- Executing the supply plan to ensure kits are available to meet patient demand such as:
- placing orders with a range of supply chain partners
- tracking progress & escalating issues
- ensuring timely release of materials through coordination of supply chain team
- Owning inventory; creating and allocating material to match individual study demand & maintaining accurate stock keeping records
Experience:
- BSc Degree in supply chain related or drug development discipline or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Prior experience in Supply Chain Planning and planning tools in an international settings
- Experience in ERP or similar systems
- Excellent analytical skills and an interest in using data to drive decisions
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects/teams
- Excellent excel , power point, smartsheet knowledge
- Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Led S&OP process
- AI Silver certification, demonstrated use of AI
Experience:
- Understanding of supply planning in a regulatory controlled environment.
- Knowledge of R&D supply chain and drug development processes.
- Prior experience in supply planning & inventory management
- Understanding of master data management in supply chain.
- APICS / CSCP or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of S&OP framework and associated processes.
- Operational Experience with ERP/APS systems
