A great opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Worker to join an experienced team at Greenways Assessment & Treatment Unit in Macclesfield, Cheshire which has been rated Outstanding by CQC (Care Quality Commission).

Greenways is a purpose built 12 bedded unit which caters for adult patients who have a learning disability. The Clinical Support Worker (CSW) will be part of the staff team responsible for assisting in the physical and psychological care to patients. The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.

Responsibilities
  • Be part of an enthusiastic and supportive team working with adults with learning disabilities. Admissions are short term for people with learning disabilities and complex needs requiring a period of intensive assessment, treatment and/or therapy within an inpatient unit.
  • Assist in the physical and psychological care to patients and support daily ward activities, under direction of nursing staff.
  • Support the delivery of care in a busy 24/7 ward with 11.5 hour shifts including both days and nights (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00).
  • Contribute to a respectful and compassionate environment aligned with Trust values.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and patients.
  • Experience in a care setting with learning disabilities (preferred).
  • Willingness to work a 24/7 schedule including day and night shifts.
