Band 5 Mental Health Nurse – Wellbeing Clinic

Macclesfield, England, United Kingdom
Position type:
Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Working hours:
9:00‑17:00, Monday to Friday
- Administer and monitor specialist medications to patients with complex mental health conditions.
- Order medications, check stock and maintain clinic machinery.
- Conduct physical health checks and deliver clinical note‑writing.
- Provide autonomous care within a multi‑disciplinary team and manage an individual caseload in both clinic and community settings.
- Support effective running of the clinic, including organising appointments and liaising with external services.
Skills and Qualifications
- Sound working knowledge of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act.
- Excellent communication, assessment and clinical documentation skills.
- Ability to travel to patient homes and external clinics – access to transport is essential.
- Experience in autonomous practice within a mental health setting (preferred).
Comprehensive induction period with shadowing and supervised training. Ongoing personal development and training are available within the supportive multi‑disciplinary team.
