Senior Valuation Surveyor

Your new company Hays is partnering with a leading London local authority to recruit a Senior Valuation Surveyor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing property team responsible for managing, valuing and optimising a diverse and high-profile portfolio across the borough. Your new role As Senior Valuation Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely valuations to support strategic decision-making across the council.

You will work across a broad range of asset types-including operational buildings, commercial investments, land, and development opportunities-providing professional advice that directly contributes to the borough's long-term financial sustainability. You will be responsible for:
Undertaking RICS-compliant valuations for statutory, financial reporting and strategic purposes Managing a varied caseload of operational and investment assets Providing professional advice on acquisitions, disposals, and asset reviews Supporting the development and implementation of asset management strategies Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners and senior leadership What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced valuation professional with: MRICS qualification and Registered Valuer status.

Strong experience producing valuations across multiple asset classes Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder-management skills A proactive, solution-focused approach and the confidence to influence decision-makers Previous public-sector experience is desirable but not essential.
