Overview
Onshore Wind Turbine Technician - North West of England - £35,000 - £45,000
Due to growth across our clients' portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Wind Turbine Technician to join their team to strengthen and extend their installation, supply and operation, and maintenance service team.
You'll be responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment of the turbines, ensuring that they're running smoothly and efficiently. This role emphasizes teamwork and high quality standards, with reporting being key to success.
Responsibilities- Based in the North West.
- Maintain, test and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment of wind turbines to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Collaborate with teammates to perform scheduled and unscheduled servicing, inspections, fault-finding and repair on wind turbines and their electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Carry out preventative tasks based on manufacturers guidelines to minimise downtime and maximise turbine efficiency.
- Replace faulty components (e.g., sensors, control systems and gearboxes) following established safety procedures.
- Produce service and inspection reports and record findings in the reporting systems in a timely manner.
- Anticipate potential problems and identify solutions to technical issues observed in the field.
- You must be based in the North West.
- Proven experience in a similar technician role within Renewable Energy or Wind Energy sectors.
- Proven track record in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
- Desirable:
Qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Renewable Energy Engineering. - Desirable:
Experience working with wind turbines in the 225kW to 850kW range. - Ability to work alongside another Technician, carrying out scheduled and unscheduled servicing, maintenance, inspections, fault-finding and repair on a range of wind turbines and their systems.
