Secondary Supply Teacher Jobs
We are looking to expand our pool of qualified secondary supply teachers to support a range of schools in and around Macclesfield. This work is ideal for teachers who want flexibility while still maintaining regular involvement in the classroom. Applicants must hold QTS or have completed a SCITT programme and have recent experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
The role involves stepping into different classrooms as needed, delivering the work set by the absent teacher whilst ensuring that lessons run smoothly. You will be working with pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, so confidence in managing varied groups and adapting to different schools is important. Supply work offers the opportunity to gain experience in multiple settings while keeping a consistent schedule that suits your availability.
Essential Criteria- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or SCITT-trained
- Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
- Confident with delivering the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
- Strong behaviour management and classroom control
- Professional, dependable, organised
- Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared lessons
- Maintaining expectations and ensuring pupils remain on task
- Supporting the school by following established routines and policies
- Covering a mix of short‑term, day‑to‑day, and occasional longer placements
- Representing the agency positively in each school you attend

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
