Key Responsibilities As Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality consultancy services across a varied project portfolio. Typical responsibilities include:
Managing and delivering a broad range of building surveying services, including condition surveys, defect analysis, feasibility studies and technical due diligence Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation Leading and coordinating interdisciplinary project teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget Acting as a key client interface, building and maintaining strong working relationships Overseeing contract administration, including monitoring works on site and managing contractor performance Providing professional advice across education, commercial, healthcare and other sectors Supporting junior team members and contributing to knowledge-sharing within the wider consultancy Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards and industry best practice Requirements:
This company is looking for a motivated and technically strong Senior Building Surveyor who can thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Ideal applicants will bring: MRICS accreditation or working towards it A relevant Building Surveying degree (or equivalent) Strong technical expertise in building surveying Proven ability to manage programmes and budgets effectively Experience in relevant sectors such as education, healthcare or commercial would be ideal Excellent client-facing skills and relationship-building capability Experience leading interdisciplinary teams (advantageous) What's on Offer for the Senior Building Surveyor:
