JOB TITLEClerk, Inventory Support
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Loads, unloads, moves product by hand or by skid.
- Operates basic warehouse vehicles (i.e., electric pallet jack and/or forklift).
- Operates advanced warehouse vehicles (i.e., turret truck and/or order picker).
- Visually inspects boxes for damage or improper packaging.
- Puts away product into racks.
- Puts away product into bins.
- Counts items.
- Updates warehouse computer systems using warehouse specific commands and functions.
- Enters data.
- Moves SKU's throughout the facility as required.
- Supports the Safety Culture by following established SOP's.
- Engages in the local Safety Culture through safety team support and offering safety suggestions.
- Assists department supervisors in identifying risk to associates or the business and mitigate those risks.
- Repair damaged bins.
- Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission.
Contacts MSC departments to resolve discrepancies.
Prepares, repairs and builds shelves, labels and identifies shelves for stock.
Set bin capacities and configurations.
Performs preventative maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment. Visual inspection of the equipment only.
Verifies products using item numbers, descriptions, and quantity.
Creates bar code labels using MSC item numbers.
Stages product for putaway bins, overstock or racks.
In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions.
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- High school diploma or the equivalent required.
- Must obtain MSC license to drive warehouse vehicles within specified time requirements.
- Basic computer literacy required.
- Knowledge of tools required.
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting materials (maximum 75 pounds – individual or team lift), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, climbing using legs and arms, balancing, stooping, kneeling, repeated bends, reaching high and low, and repetitive twisting or pressure, involving wrist and hands. Hearing, seeing (including depth perception and peripheral vision), ability of mental coordination. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required for position.
Must be able to operate at heights up to 50 feet. Mentally alert for entire shift.

COMPENSATIONCompensation starting at $17.25/hr depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
